Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The passing storm by Léon-Henri-Marie Frédéric was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Christies in London in July 2006. It changed hands for a price of GBP 480.00 (€ 702.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon-Henri-Marie Frédéric achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Dentellière Flamande (The Flemish Lace Maker) in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 77,909.36).
