Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in London held the auction Modern Art Online including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso, which included the work Fleurs dans une cruche by Léon de Smet. The price achieved of GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,411.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon de Smet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roze Harmonie in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 485,000.00 (€ 668,742.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern Art Online including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fleurs dans une cruche von Léon de Smet zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.411,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon de Smet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roze Harmonie im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 485.000,00 (€ 668.742,97).
