In October 2016 Phillips in New York held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Bulbox 4.0 by Leo Villareal. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,333.15), 36% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leo Villareal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cloud Drawing (Medium) 1 in November this year with an auction result of USD 75,600.00 (€ 69,306.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bulbox 4.0 von Leo Villareal zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.333,15) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leo Villareal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cloud Drawing (Medium) 1 im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 69.306,93).
