It achieved a price of USD 16,250.00 (€ 15,304.20), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leo Gabin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French Braid Tutorial, which sold at auction in September 2014 for USD 47,500.00 (€ 37,614.82).

Die Arbeit Talkin Like a Parrot von Leo Gabin wurde im Februar 2017 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 15.304,20) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Für andere Arbeiten von Leo Gabin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit French Braid Tutorial beobachtet, die im September 2014 für USD 47.500,00 (€ 37.614,82) versteigert wurde.
