Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work "Varitédansöser" (Dancers) by Leander Engström for SEK 1,800,000.00 (€ 186,360.72). This price was achieved in the auction Modern Art + Design at Bukowski in Stockholm and was even below the estimate range of SEK 2,000,000.00 – 2,500,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leander Engström - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Badstranden", which sold at auction in May 2019 for SEK 4,500,000.00 (€ 424,208.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit "Varitédansöser" (Dancers) von Leander Engström für SEK 1.800.000,00 (€ 186.360,72) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern Art + Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 2.000.000,00 – 2.500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Leander Engström mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Badstranden" beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für SEK 4.500.000,00 (€ 424.208,45) versteigert wurde.
