Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Christies in London held the auction Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Online, which included the work Portrait of a lady, bust-length, in a gold embroidered bodice with a high collar and a ruff by Lavinia Fontana. The price achieved of GBP 11,340.00 (€ 13,541.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lavinia Fontana achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Bianca Degli Utili Maselli, Half Length, In An Interior, Holding A Dog And Surrounded By Six Of Her Children in January 2012 with an auction result of USD 602,500.00 (€ 461,579.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, bust-length, in a gold embroidered bodice with a high collar and a ruff von Lavinia Fontana zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.340,00 (€ 13.541,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lavinia Fontana erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Bianca Degli Utili Maselli, Half Length, In An Interior, Holding A Dog And Surrounded By Six Of Her Children im Januar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 602.500,00 (€ 461.579,71).
