Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Important Photographs from the Collection of Donald and Alice Lappé, which included the work Narcissus, 1926 by Laura Gilpin. The price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,243.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Other works by Laura Gilpin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2020 the work 'Ranchos Church' was auctioned for USD 31,250.00 (€ 26,541.53).

Im Oktober 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important Photographs from the Collection of Donald and Alice Lappé durch, in der auch die Arbeit Narcissus, 1926 von Laura Gilpin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.243,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Laura Gilpin konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2020 die Arbeit 'Ranchos Church' für USD 31.250,00 (€ 26.541,53) versteigert.
