Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Laura Coombs Hills achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in May 2021. In the American Art auction, the work Zinnias in a Yellow Bowl sold for USD 12,750.00 (€ 10,455.96) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Laura Coombs Hills; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Larkspur and Lilies sold at auction in November 2017 with the realized price of USD 21,250.00 (€ 17,860.14).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Laura Coombs Hills erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Zinnias in a Yellow Bowl für USD 12.750,00 (€ 10.455,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Laura Coombs Hills; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Larkspur and Lilies im November 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 17.860,14).
