Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Laura Coombs Hills achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in July 2020. In the American Art auction, the work Mixed Flowers No. 2 sold for USD 11,325.00 (€ 9,618.65) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Laura Coombs Hills; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Larkspur and Lilies sold at auction in November 2017 with the realized price of USD 21,250.00 (€ 17,860.14).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Laura Coombs Hills erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Mixed Flowers No. 2 für USD 11.325,00 (€ 9.618,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Laura Coombs Hills; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Larkspur and Lilies im November 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 17.860,14).
