Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wetlands - 94 (Gelombang Series) by Latiff Mohidin was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The price achieved of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,968.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 280,000.00 – 380,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Latiff Mohidin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 122,793.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wetlands - 94 (Gelombang Series) von Latiff Mohidin wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.968,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 280.000,00 – 380.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Latiff Mohidin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 122.793,85) versteigert wurde.
