The work Imago by Latiff Mohidin was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. It achieved a price of HKD 18,750.00 (€ 2,190.50), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Latiff Mohidin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 122,793.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Imago von Latiff Mohidin wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 18.750,00 (€ 2.190,50) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Latiff Mohidin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 122.793,85).
