Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ovation by Larry Johnson was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,075.00 (€ 3,498.76) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Larry Johnson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Land Without Bread) in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 25,404.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ovation von Larry Johnson kam im Oktober 2020 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.075,00 (€ 3.498,76) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Larry Johnson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Land Without Bread) im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 25.404,66).
