Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Venezia by Larkin Goldsmith Mead for USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,192.85). This price was achieved in the auction American Art, Including the Collection of George S. Parker II from the Caxambas Foundation at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Larkin Goldsmith Mead achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venezia in May 2003 with an auction result of USD 38,240.00 (€ 32,500.42).
