Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Lan Meng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in April 2004. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Landscape sold for HKD 113,525.00 (€ 7,369.07) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lan Meng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape After Juran in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 212,500.00 (€ 189,090.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lan Meng erzielte im April 2004 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 113.525,00 (€ 7.369,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lan Meng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape After Juran im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 212.500,00 (€ 189.090,59).
