This artwork by Lan Meng achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2013. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Mountain View in Autumn sold for HKD 517,500.00 (€ 49,108.06) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lan Meng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape After Juran, which sold at auction in September 2016 for USD 212,500.00 (€ 189,090.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lan Meng erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit Mountain View in Autumn für HKD 517.500,00 (€ 49.108,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lan Meng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape After Juran beobachtet, die im September 2016 für USD 212.500,00 (€ 189.090,59) versteigert wurde.
