The work Visiting Friends by Lan Meng was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. It achieved a price of HKD 102,000.00 (€ 9,712.48), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lan Meng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape After Juran in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 212,500.00 (€ 189,090.59).

Die Arbeit Visiting Friends von Lan Meng wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 102.000,00 (€ 9.712,48) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lan Meng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape After Juran im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 212.500,00 (€ 189.090,59).
