Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Woman by Lalu Prasad Shaw was auctioned at Christies in Singapore in April 2001. It achieved a price of SGD 4,112.50 (€ 2,544.71), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Admittedly, works by Lalu Prasad Shaw have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman With Flower in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,658.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Woman von Lalu Prasad Shaw kam im April 2001 bei Christies in Singapur zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von SGD 4.112,50 (€ 2.544,71) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lalu Prasad Shaw auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman With Flower im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.658,81).
