This artwork by Lalu Prasad Shaw achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2007. In the Modern and Contemporary Indian Art Including Art from Pakistan and Sri Lanka auction, the work without title sold for GBP 10,800.00 (€ 15,892.93) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lalu Prasad Shaw; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Woman With Flower sold at auction in May 2007 with the realized price of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,658.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lalu Prasad Shaw erzielte im Mai 2007 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Indian Art Including Art from Pakistan and Sri Lanka wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 10.800,00 (€ 15.892,93) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lalu Prasad Shaw; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Woman With Flower im Mai 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.658,81).
