Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Bird) by Lalu Prasad Shaw was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2016. The price achieved of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,170.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lalu Prasad Shaw have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woman With Flower in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,658.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Bird) von Lalu Prasad Shaw kam im März 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.170,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lalu Prasad Shaw auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woman With Flower im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.658,81).
