Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Converging Territories #10 by Lalla Essaydi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,080.00 (€ 8,906.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Lalla Essaydi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bullets Revisited #3 in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 61,702.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Converging Territories #10 von Lalla Essaydi kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.080,00 (€ 8.906,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lalla Essaydi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bullets Revisited #3 im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 61.702,61).
