The work Les Femmes Du Maroc: Harem No. 11 by Lalla Essaydi was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2020. The auction ended at the price of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,908.44), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lalla Essaydi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bullets Revisited #3, which sold at auction in April 2013 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 61,702.61).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Les Femmes Du Maroc: Harem No. 11 von Lalla Essaydi kam im November 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 27.908,44) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lalla Essaydi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bullets Revisited #3 beobachtet, die im April 2013 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 61.702,61) versteigert wurde.
