In October 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Fishermen in the Bay of Naples by Gioacchino La Pira. The result of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,365.56) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gioacchino La Pira have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bay of Naples; and Vesuvius erupting in April 2001 with an auction result of GBP 8,225.00 (€ 13,259.73).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishermen in the Bay of Naples von Gioacchino La Pira zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.365,56) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gioacchino La Pira auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bay of Naples; and Vesuvius erupting im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.225,00 (€ 13.259,73).
