Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included this untitled work by Krishen Khanna. The price achieved of GBP 637.50 (€ 749.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Krishen Khanna achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Anatomy Lesson in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 264,000.00 (€ 197,397.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Krishen Khanna zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 637,50 (€ 749,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Krishen Khanna erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Anatomy Lesson im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 264.000,00 (€ 197.397,94).
