Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Dancing Figure) by Krishen Khanna was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in September last year. The price achieved of USD 30,240.00 (€ 30,910.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Krishen Khanna have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Anatomy Lesson in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 264,000.00 (€ 197,397.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Dancing Figure) von Krishen Khanna wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 30.240,00 (€ 30.910,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Krishen Khanna auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Anatomy Lesson im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 264.000,00 (€ 197.397,94).
