Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled (Dhaba) by Krishen Khanna. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,144.00 (€ 7,119.56), 23% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Krishen Khanna achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Anatomy Lesson in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 264,000.00 (€ 197,397.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Dhaba) von Krishen Khanna zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.144,00 (€ 7.119,56) und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Krishen Khanna erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Anatomy Lesson im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 264.000,00 (€ 197.397,94).
