Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Bandwalas) by Krishen Khanna was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in June this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,664.00 (€ 1,936.61). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Krishen Khanna achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Anatomy Lesson in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 264,000.00 (€ 197,397.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Bandwalas) von Krishen Khanna wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.664,00 (€ 1.936,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Krishen Khanna erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Anatomy Lesson im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 264.000,00 (€ 197.397,94).
