Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Untitled (Woman At Window) by Krishen Khanna. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,520.00 (€ 2,317.88). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Krishen Khanna achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Anatomy Lesson in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 264,000.00 (€ 197,397.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Woman At Window) von Krishen Khanna zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.520,00 (€ 2.317,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Krishen Khanna erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Anatomy Lesson im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 264.000,00 (€ 197.397,94).
