Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Patricia) by Krishen Khanna was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 35,840.00 (€ 41,711.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Krishen Khanna have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Anatomy Lesson in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 264,000.00 (€ 197,397.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Patricia) von Krishen Khanna wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 35.840,00 (€ 41.711,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Krishen Khanna auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Anatomy Lesson im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 264.000,00 (€ 197.397,94).
