Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Slide (From The History Of Photography Remix) by Kota Ezawa was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,159.29). Other works by Kota Ezawa have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2014 by the work 3-D Movies from History of Photography Remix at USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,980.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Slide (From The History Of Photography Remix) von Kota Ezawa im April 2015 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.159,29) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Kota Ezawa wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2014 die Arbeit 3-D Movies from History of Photography Remix mit USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.980,85).
