Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Hill, Forest and Clouds by Koo Mei. It changed hands for a price of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,899.54) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 26,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Koo Mei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Majestic Panorama in May last year with an auction result of HKD 327,600.00 (€ 38,893.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hill, Forest and Clouds von Koo Mei zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.899,54) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 26.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Koo Mei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Majestic Panorama im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 327.600,00 (€ 38.893,15).
