Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2018 Christies in Shanghai held the auction FIRST OPEN | Shanghai, which included the work High in the Clouds by Koo Mei. The »bidding war« ended at CNY 96,000.00 (€ 12,026.85), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Koo Mei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Majestic Panorama, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 327,600.00 (€ 38,893.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2018 führte Christies in Shanghai die Auktion FIRST OPEN | Shanghai durch, in der auch die Arbeit High in the Clouds von Koo Mei zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CNY 96.000,00 (€ 12.026,85) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Koo Mei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Majestic Panorama beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 327.600,00 (€ 38.893,15) versteigert wurde.
