Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cloudy Mountains by Koo Mei was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2020. It changed hands for a price of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,871.52) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 26,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Koo Mei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Majestic Panorama in May last year with an auction result of HKD 327,600.00 (€ 38,893.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cloudy Mountains von Koo Mei wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.871,52) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 26.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Koo Mei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Majestic Panorama im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 327.600,00 (€ 38.893,15).
