The work Melrose Ave by Koen van den Broek was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in October 2020. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 15,120.00 (€ 16,789.47), 26% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Koen van den Broek - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Burning, which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 56,250.00.

Die Arbeit Melrose Ave von Koen van den Broek wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 15.120,00 (€ 16.789,47) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Koen van den Broek mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Burning beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 56.250,00 versteigert wurde.
