In December last year Bonhams held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Online Sale, which included the work The Wind by Koen van den Broek. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,475.00 (€ 12,954.16), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Koen van den Broek have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Burning in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 56,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 43 % übertroffen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Wind von Koen van den Broek zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.475,00 (€ 12.954,16) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Koen van den Broek auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Burning im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 56.250,00.
