Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ceramic Head by Klara Kristalova was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in February 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,223.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Klara Kristalova - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2015 for SEK 160,000.00 (€ 17,071.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ceramic Head von Klara Kristalova wurde im Februar 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.223,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Klara Kristalova mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für SEK 160.000,00 (€ 17.071,13) versteigert wurde.
