This artwork by Kitao Masayoshi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2009. In the Japanese Art & Design auction, the work Sansui ryakuga shiki Landscapes in the Cursive Picture Style, signed Keisai hitsu and sealed Shoshin, published by Suwaraya Ichibei in Kansei 12 (1800); 1 vol. complete, comprising fifteen double page and twenty-nine single page colour illustrations, very sold for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,556.71) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kitao Masayoshi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kaihaku Raikin Zui (Illustrated Catalogue Of Birds From Overseas), which sold at auction in September 2021 for USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,717.54).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Kitao Masayoshi erzielte im November 2009 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Japanese Art & Design wurde die Arbeit Sansui ryakuga shiki Landscapes in the Cursive Picture Style, signed Keisai hitsu and sealed Shoshin, published by Suwaraya Ichibei in Kansei 12 (1800); 1 vol. complete, comprising fifteen double page and twenty-nine single page colour illustrations, very für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.556,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kitao Masayoshi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kaihaku Raikin Zui (Illustrated Catalogue Of Birds From Overseas) beobachtet, die im September 2021 für USD 11.250,00 (€ 9.717,54) versteigert wurde.
