Auction result well in line with expectations
The work By Means of a Divided Board by Kishio Suga was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 160,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 10,766.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Kishio Suga have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Protrusion Series "Gaps in Surroundings" in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 627,500.00 (€ 66,187.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit By Means of a Divided Board von Kishio Suga wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 160.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 10.766,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kishio Suga auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Protrusion Series "Gaps in Surroundings" im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 627.500,00 (€ 66.187,65).
