Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work L’Endroit Où J'Habitais - The Place Where I Lived by Kim Whan-Ki. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 6,175,000.00 (€ 702,894.83), 24% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kim Whan-Ki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 101,955,000.00 (€ 11,824,892.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit L’Endroit Où J'Habitais - The Place Where I Lived von Kim Whan-Ki zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 6.175.000,00 (€ 702.894,83) und damit 24% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kim Whan-Ki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 101.955.000,00 (€ 11.824.892,46).
