The work 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) by Kim Whan-Ki was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 101,955,000.00 (€ 11,824,892.46), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 64%. This high result makes 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) the most expensive artwork by Kim Whan-Ki that we have observed at auctions so far.
