The work Moon on Mountain by Kim Whan-Ki was sold in the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 6,490,000.00 (€ 735,128.11), 30% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kim Whan-Ki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 101,955,000.00 (€ 11,824,892.46).

Die Arbeit Moon on Mountain von Kim Whan-Ki wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 6.490.000,00 (€ 735.128,11) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kim Whan-Ki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 101.955.000,00 (€ 11.824.892,46).
