Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Kim Whan-Ki achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work SUN AND CLOUDS sold for HKD 1,860,000.00 (€ 212,386.97) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kim Whan-Ki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 101,955,000.00 (€ 11,824,892.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kim Whan-Ki erzielte im Mai 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit SUN AND CLOUDS für HKD 1.860.000,00 (€ 212.386,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kim Whan-Ki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 101.955.000,00 (€ 11.824.892,46).
