Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Kim Whan-Ki achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session) auction, the work without title sold for HKD 750,000.00 (€ 85,837.29) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kim Whan-Ki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 101,955,000.00 (€ 11,824,892.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kim Whan-Ki erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session) wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 750.000,00 (€ 85.837,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kim Whan-Ki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 05-IV-71 #200 (Universe) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 101.955.000,00 (€ 11.824.892,46).
