KIM MACCONNEL (B. 1946) Made in Hong Kong signed, titled, inscribed and dated "KR MacConnel CArdiff 3/77 MAde IN HoNg KoNg" (on the reverse) acrylic on cotton 90 1 ⁄ 2 x 86 1 ⁄ 2 in. (230 x 220 cm) Painted in 1977.
Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction The Collection of Thomas & Doris Ammann: Online, which included the work Made in Hong Kong by Kim MacConnel. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,528.00 (€ 3,245.03), 18% above the upper estimate. Other works by Kim MacConnel have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,359.05) in July 2011 for the work Mit Schlag.

Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Collection of Thomas & Doris Ammann: Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Made in Hong Kong von Kim MacConnel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.528,00 (€ 3.245,03) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Kim MacConnel haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.359,05) im Juli 2011 für die Arbeit Mit Schlag beobachtet.
