Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Kim MacConnel was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,560.00 (€ 1,137.77). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kim MacConnel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mit Schlag, which sold at auction in July 2011 for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,359.05).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Kim MacConnel im Juli 2007 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.560,00 (€ 1.137,77) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Kim MacConnel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mit Schlag beobachtet, die im Juli 2011 für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.359,05) versteigert wurde.
