Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Kim Jones could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the TO LIVE WITH ART: Property from the Jerome & Ellen Stern Collection auction, the work War Drawing changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,521.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kim Jones - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, 1984-90-2005-06, which sold at auction in April last year for EUR 3,528.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Kim Jones konnte im März 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion TO LIVE WITH ART: Property from the Jerome & Ellen Stern Collection wechselte die Arbeit War Drawing für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.521,92) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kim Jones mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled, 1984-90-2005-06 beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für EUR 3.528,00 versteigert wurde.
