Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2020 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Ritual + Culture OnlineFine Southeast Asian Arts, which included the work Untitled (By the river) by Kid Kosolawat. The price achieved of HKD 25,500.00 (€ 3,002.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kid Kosolawat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,177.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2020 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Ritual + Culture OnlineFine Southeast Asian Arts durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (By the river) von Kid Kosolawat zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 25.500,00 (€ 3.002,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kid Kosolawat mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.177,17) versteigert wurde.
