Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Kendell Geers could be acquired at Phillips in London in October 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Two works: (i) Demon est Deus Inversus 24, 2011; (ii) La Sainte Vierge changed hands for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,171.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kendell Geers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twilight of the Idols (Virgin Mary) in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 66,500.00 (€ 86,979.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kendell Geers konnte im Oktober 2013 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Two works: (i) Demon est Deus Inversus 24, 2011; (ii) La Sainte Vierge für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.171,22) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kendell Geers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Twilight of the Idols (Virgin Mary) im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 66.500,00 (€ 86.979,39).
