Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2009 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian Blaze Of Noon by Ken Whisson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 31,200.00 (€ 18,343.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Ken Whisson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2007 the work Australian Earth, Houses And Vehicle was auctioned for AUD 48,000.00 (€ 28,915.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2009 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Blaze Of Noon von Ken Whisson zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 31.200,00 (€ 18.343,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Ken Whisson konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2007 die Arbeit Australian Earth, Houses And Vehicle für AUD 48.000,00 (€ 28.915,03) versteigert.
