Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2004 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Untitled (Drawing With Dogs) by Ken Whisson. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 3,346.00 (€ 1,954.96). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ken Whisson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Earth, Houses And Vehicle in November 2007 with an auction result of AUD 48,000.00 (€ 28,915.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Drawing With Dogs) von Ken Whisson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 3.346,00 (€ 1.954,96) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ken Whisson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Earth, Houses And Vehicle im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 48.000,00 (€ 28.915,03).
