Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Chocolate Buddha, Paris, Editions F.B., 1989 by Keith Haring. The price achieved of USD 14,400.00 (€ 10,858.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keith Haring achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 6,537,500.00 (€ 5,818,351.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chocolate Buddha, Paris, Editions F.B., 1989 von Keith Haring zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 14.400,00 (€ 10.858,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keith Haring erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.537.500,00 (€ 5.818.351,73).
